About Boxento

Boxento is HR software that gives small and growing companies employee records, hiring, time off, attendance, documents, an org chart and insights — in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, with pricing set for each country’s purchasing power.

What Boxento does

Employee records

With no HR team, the contract sits in a Drive folder, the role in a spreadsheet and the start date in someone’s head.

Boxento keeps one file per person: role, team, contract, dates and manager.

When the role or salary changes, the history stays, and you can search by name.

Hiring

Publish a vacancy with your screening questions and share your company careers page.

Read resumes, assign reviewers, keep private notes and coordinate interviews.

Send an offer and track the answer. Create or link the employee when you are ready; accepting an offer does not add a paid seat.

Time off

The employee asks, you approve, and the date and who said yes stay on the file.

You set the days the law or the contract gives; they accrue month by month, around the public holidays.

The team sees approved days in the calendar they already use.

Attendance

People clock in, out and lunch from a phone.

If someone corrects a punch, the original time is kept.

They can clock in with a location, if you ask for it.

Field teams

You see a worker’s latest location and shift route during working hours.

Tracking is switched on per company and per employee, and workers get a notice in the app before location starts.

Recording pauses on breaks and stops at clock-out. Updates arrive about once a minute with a connection, so offline time can leave gaps.

Documents

Letters and contracts come from your own Word templates, with the person and company fields filled in.

They are stored on the file when you send them.

Each person sees the documents that belong to them.

Onboarding

You add someone and they get an email to set a password.

They can sign in with Google if their work email is already on the file.

After that they request time off, clock in and read their documents without going through you.

Org chart

The chart is read from the manager already on each file, not from a slide nobody updates.

You can search people and filter by team.

Anyone who can open files opens the person from the node.

Insights

Headcount, who left and overtime are on the same screen where you approve the day.

It shows how many people are active, how many left in the last 90 days, and absences and overtime for the last 30 days.

It also shows who is on leave this month.

Calendar subscribe (ICS)

Approved time off is an ICS link.

Each person subscribes in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.

Public holidays already sit in the working-day count.

What makes Boxento different

Same-day signup

You sign up and start the same day. The trial is 30 days. A card is required, and nothing is charged until the trial ends.

Country comparison pages quote how each named tool says you start:

One plan, every module

There is one plan. Employee records, hiring, time off, attendance, field teams, documents, onboarding, the org chart, insights and calendar subscribe are included. Nothing is gated behind a higher plan.

Pricing set by purchasing power

Each country sits in one of four bands taken from World Bank GNI per capita. On annual billing those bands run from US$1.50–US$5.00 per active employee per month. Monthly billing costs about 20% more, and Stripe charges in local currency where it supports that currency.

Published for 205 countries and territories

Boxento is published for companies in 205 countries and territories. The company’s country sets the currency, the price and the work week. Public-holiday pages exist only where the calendar has dates, and labour-rule pages exist only where there is an official source.

Pricing

Labour floors and public holidays, with sources

Where there is an official source, the site publishes the statutory floor for annual leave and ordinary hours, with the source URL and a last-checked date. Where the law sets a 13th-month or similar year-end payment and we have read the official text, there is also a free calculator for it. Holiday pages credit the open-source date-holidays project (CC BY 3.0). These pages are a short reading of the rule, not legal advice. A calculator estimates one payment; it is not payroll.

Who uses Boxento

The person who approves time off and also runs the company uses it: the owner, the office manager, whoever holds the people file.

How Boxento works

Create a workspace

You create a workspace at a name you choose, such as yourcompany.boxento.com. The person who creates it owns the workspace. Sign-in is Google or email and password.

Start the 30-day trial

You add a card when you create the workspace. Nothing is charged during the 30-day trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, the subscription converts to the paid monthly plan for the active employees in the workspace. You can switch to annual billing from Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; cancel during the trial and you are never charged.

No. Boxento keeps employee records, time off, attendance and documents.
